The Institute for Ethical Leadership is a membership association formed in February 1998 by its Charter Members. It is sponsored by Creative Learning International to act as a catalyst in promoting positive development in society. Based on the belief that healthy societies are grounded in ethical principles, the Institute seeks to promote leadership action based on these principles.
Themes The Institute provides a forum for leaders to come together for learning and fellowship and to plan and carry out positive programs of work in 5 theme areas:
Members may choose to participate in one or more of these theme areas as an ongoing activity by joining the respective steering committee. In addition, each steering committee takes responsibility for arranging the program of a meeting of the Institute so that the whole membership continues to grow in knowledge about all these areas. Meetings Meetings of the Institute are held on the fourth Monday of the month in January, February, March, May, June, September, October, November. The meetings are held from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., beginning with a light meal. Meetings are open to members and their invited guests. Guests are welcomed and invited to become members and join one of the steering committees. Fees
Membership fees are paid once a year in December for the following year. Post-dated cheques will be accepted. Members who join during the year pay for the number of meetings remaining in that year. Guests are welcome to come to two meetings. After that they are asked to consider joining the Institute as a Member. Conference: Connections From time to time the Institute holds a Conference called Connections to celebrate the work accomplished and to inspire new directions. Connections Two was held September 15, 2001 at the Vancouver Public Library.
